Questions people ask first.
What should I put in the message?
Two or three lines is enough: what the system does, what is going wrong or what needs building, and roughly when. If it is an existing codebase, the stack and its rough age help. Do not send credentials or anything confidential in a first message — that comes after an NDA.
How quickly will I hear back, and from whom?
From me, usually within one working day. There is nobody else here to route it through, which is the whole point — the reply comes from the person who would do the work, not a qualifier trying to book a demo.
What actually happens on the first call?
About an hour going through what exists, what is breaking and what you need next. It is a working session rather than a pitch. If it is not a good fit for one person, you will hear that on the call instead of three weeks later.
Do I need budget approved before getting in touch?
No. Plenty of first conversations are people working out what a piece of work would involve before they can ask for a budget at all. If a rough cost range is what you need to take upstairs, say so and you will get one.
We are an agency, not the end client. Is that fine?
More than fine — a large part of the work is exactly that. You keep the client relationship and your branding, and I build behind you, either visible on calls as part of your team or entirely invisible. Whichever you prefer, agreed up front.
What if my project is outside the six things listed?
Say so anyway. The capabilities page lists what has already been built and shipped, not the limit of what can be discussed. Work often starts outside that list — it just gets talked about honestly rather than advertised as routine.
