Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how atombit ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR, EU GDPR and applicable data protection legislation, including the Singapore PDPA and UAE data protection law.

1. Who we are

atombit is the data controller for personal data collected through this website (atombit.in) and through our client engagement process. Our contact address for data protection matters is: partnerships@atombit.in.

2. Data we collect and why

We collect the minimum data necessary to operate our business. The categories are:

  • Contact enquiry data — name, email address, company name, message content. Collected when you submit a contact or booking form. Lawful basis: legitimate interests (responding to a business enquiry).
  • Technical / analytics data — page views, referral sources, approximate geolocation (country level). Collected via privacy-respecting analytics. Lawful basis: legitimate interests (understanding site usage to improve content).
  • Communication data — email correspondence, video call notes. Retained to manage our client relationship. Lawful basis: contract performance or legitimate interests.

We do not collect sensitive personal data, payment card details, or government-issued identification numbers through this website.

3. How we use your data

  • To respond to your enquiry or booking request
  • To send project-related communications during an active engagement
  • To improve our website content and user experience
  • To comply with legal obligations (e.g., anti-money-laundering requirements applicable to FinTech engagements)

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

4. Cookies

This website uses strictly necessary cookies to enable core site functionality. We do not currently deploy marketing, advertising or third-party tracking cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and implement a consent banner before doing so.

5. Data sharing

We may share data with the following categories of processors, each bound by data processing agreements:

  • Cloud hosting providers (servers located in EU or UAE data centres)
  • Email delivery services (for transactional messages only)
  • Video conferencing tools (for discovery and project calls)

We will disclose personal data to law enforcement or regulators only where required by applicable law.

6. International transfers

atombit operates globally. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we ensure adequate safeguards are in place — including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or adequacy decisions — before any transfer takes place.

7. Data retention

  • Contact enquiry data: 12 months from last contact, unless an engagement begins
  • Client engagement data: 7 years from project completion (for legal/accounting purposes)
  • Analytics data: aggregated, retained indefinitely; individual session data deleted after 90 days

8. Your rights

Under GDPR and equivalent legislation, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate personal data
  • Request erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Restrict or object to our processing
  • Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is consent-based)

To exercise any right, email us at partnerships@atombit.in with the subject line "Data Subject Request". We will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority (e.g., the ICO in the UK, the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus, or the PDPC in Singapore).

9. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, and access controls limited to personnel who need the data to perform their role.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be signalled by a new "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
